Hello again! Since the last time we talked, the game has changed a lot! The most obvious difference, of course, is the name! 'Tank Kings' will forever be embedded in the code, and will remain the internal code-name, but we felt Rocket Bot Royale was a better fit, and it rolls off the tongue a bit better too.
We finally opened the BETA up to players, letting in only the most trusted to the Beta at first, while we ironed out the most obvious wrinkles. We've continued to add features, and we are inching toward a more official launch as the pieces come together. If you've tried playing but couldn't find people to match up against, we will be directing more players to the Beta over time.
The community is also growing! Join us on Discord where we talk all things Rocket Bot. Player feedback drives us and makes the game better! It's a great place to organize a friendly match as well!
The Steam Page is now up, and you can now add RBR to your wishlist. There are a few hoops to jump through before it's live on Steam, but in the end, we are hoping to have the game live and running cross-platform on as many screens as possible.
Last but not least, the Winterpixel family has grown by 2! We are excited to welcome Ethan Knight, the first Pixel Baby to the family. Additionally, we've added another talented developer to the team, Brian Semrau, who is already making his mark on the game. Say hi if you pass him in the hall.
Sorry for the radio silence as of late, but lots of very exciting stuff explains why we haven't provided many updates, right? Jump in and play a few rounds. The current beta seasons have rewards that may not be available once we leave Beta.
